The combination of high strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures over 1800 Degree F (980 Degree C) makes these Inconel Butt Weld Fittings an attractive material for such components as ducting, combustion cans, and transition liners in both aircraft and land-based gas turbines. For applications involving high service temperatures, Inconel Tee Butt Weld Fittings are solution annealed at 2050 Degree F / 2150 Degree F (1120 Degree C / 1180 Degree C) followed by air cooling, or more rapid cooling. These Inconel Elbow Butt Weld Fittings is normally used in the solution-annealed condition, where that condition provides a coarse grain structure for the best creep-rupture strength. While re-solution annealing of Inconel Cross Butt Weld Fittings at 2150 Degree F (1177 Degree C) followed by water quenching would remove the effects of cold work and restore creep properties, laboratory and production data show that a re-anneal at this temperature would result in grain coarsening and thereby reduce LCF performance. These Inconel Reducer Butt Weld Fittings forms secondary phases that could decrease the ductility of the material.
